Our classes are open to both AABC clients and the public. Some classes require registration/payment with our front office staff, prior to the class date. Some class fees will be paid directly to the instructors. There are detailed class descriptions for each class when you select a specific class on the calendar. Please note: AABC South classes are taught at (2500 W. William Cannon, Ste. 503). Classes are canceled for major holidays. If there is ever a class cancellation, the information will be posted on the class calendar and on our AABC Facebook pages.
Austin Area Birthing Center has been open since 1987, so we’ve seen every birth trend that’s come along for nearly three decades! New Trends In Childbirth is a comprehensive birthing class that combines the best of several popular birthing techniques, including Lamaze, hypnobirthing and the Bradley Method. With years of training and education, plus the hands-on experience of delivering thousands of babies, we’ve developed a birthing technique that we believe makes for the most comfortable natural birth possible!
New Trends In Childbirth is a four-week group class that meets weekly. Over the course of the class, you and your partner will be introduced to the stages of birth, practice visualization and relaxation techniques, explore different comfort measures for labor and discuss postpartum care.
New Trends In Childbirth is for our AABC couples and now open to Austin area public. For those who are pregnant for the first time, those who had epidurals or c-sections, this class is required. One of our AABC Midwives and the front office staff will discuss details with you. This class series fee is $100 for AABC clients and $250 for public. Register/ pay for this class with one of the front offices.
Curious to know more? Join us for a group tour of everything that Austin Area Birthing Center has to offer. One of our team members will show you around our beautiful center and birth spaces while explaining our model of care.
Afterwards, one of our office staff will go over general financial info. We will have time for general questions as well, so bring your notepads! Space is limited, so we ask that you please only bring one additional person with you. We look forward to meeting you soon!
